Two Easy Ways to Vote Before Election Day
Pennsylvania doesn't technically call it "early voting," but between mail-in ballots and Vote-on-Demand, you can complete your ballot weeks before Election Day and fold it right into your normal routine. Here's everything you need to know — from applying, to dropping off, to confirming your vote was received.
Why We Recommend Drop Box or Vote-on-Demand
Both options let you vote early, avoid mail delays, and check the task off your list on your own timeline — whether that's a Saturday errand run or a stop on the way home from work. No stamps, no waiting on the mail, no uncertainty about whether your ballot arrived in time.
✉️ Option 1 — Mail-In Ballot
Apply once each year, then vote from home on your own schedule.
How to apply:
- Apply online through the PA Department of State's voter services site, or in person at the Bucks County Board of Elections.
- Apply annually — a mail-in ballot request does not carry over from year to year.
- Submit your application by Tuesday, October 27 — the deadline to apply for this election.
- Watch your mail: ballots begin going out October 5, roughly three weeks before Election Day.
🗳️ Option 2 — Vote-on-Demand
Haven't applied for a mail-in ballot, or want to handle everything in a single visit? Vote-on-Demand lets you apply, receive, complete, and drop off your ballot in one stop — no waiting for the mail.
How it works:
- Visit any of the 7 Bucks County satellite election offices (listed below).
- A Board of Elections official takes your information and prints your mail ballot on the spot.
- Fill it out right there and hand it back — or take it home and return it later, by drop box or to the Board of Elections, by 8 PM on Election Day.
- Already have a mail-in ballot but didn't receive it, lost it, or changed your mind? You can cancel and reissue at the counter, or request a replacement by Vote-on-Demand — even as late as Election Day itself.

How to Return Your Ballot
- Drop box (*recommended): Fastest and most reliable — available at every location listed above, open during building hours, no postage or mailing delays. Need a ride to a drop box? Email morrisvilledemocrats@gmail.com.
- By mail: Return envelopes are pre-paid, no stamp needed. If you choose to mail your ballot, send it back right away — postal delays are common close to Election Day.
- All returns are due by 8 PM on Tuesday, November 3 — no exceptions for postmarks.
Check That Your Ballot Was Received
Once you've applied or returned your ballot, confirm its status online using the state's official ballot tracker:
- Go to pavoterservices.pa.gov and select "Ballot Tracking," or use vote.pa/track.
- Enter your name, date of birth, and county exactly as they appeared on your application.
- Your record will show whether your application and/or ballot has been received and processed by the county.
If you provided an email address on your voter registration or mail-in ballot application, you may also receive an email confirming your ballot was received by the county — a quick way to know it's in without checking the tracker yourself.
