Peggy Walsh
3rd Ward Council
(2 Year Seat)
Morrisville has been my home for 42 years, where my husband and I raised our two children and built lasting connections within this close-knit community. Our children attended Holy Trinity and Morrisville schools, receiving a strong foundation for their futures. From coaching CYO soccer and basketball to cheering on my son’s baseball games at Williamson Park, I have always been deeply involved in our town’s youth activities. Watching new families move in and build their lives here reaffirms what I have always known—Morrisville is a special place.
Since retiring, I have dedicated my time to giving back in ways that preserve our town’s character and enhance its future. I am passionate about environmental stewardship, growing native plants to support Morrisville’s Bird Town status and volunteering for tree plantings and riverfront cleanups. I serve on the Planning Commission, working to ensure thoughtful growth and responsible decision-making that benefits the entire community. I also serve as a Third Ward Committee person, staying engaged in local affairs and advocating for the needs of our residents. Additionally, I successfully fought to restore funding for the children’s librarian and summer programming at the library because I believe in investing in our children’s education.
Beyond Morrisville, I have been a strong advocate for common-sense gun safety reforms. As a member of CeaseFire PA, I have worked to keep our children and communities safe by pushing for universal background checks, Red Flag Protection orders, and laws requiring lost or stolen firearms to be reported. I have traveled to Harrisburg to meet with legislators, knowing that responsible policies can help save lives.
My professional experience as the English Coordinator for Middle and Secondary Schools in the Council Rock School District gave me invaluable skills in budgeting, collaboration, and problem-solving. Managing budgets for three middle schools and two high schools required fiscal responsibility and transparency—skills that I will bring to Morrisville to ensure taxpayer dollars are spent wisely. I also worked closely with parents and educators to address concerns and build consensus, reinforcing my belief in open communication and respectful dialogue.
I am running to ensure Morrisville remains a great place for families, seniors, and businesses. I will fight for transparency in government spending, thoughtful development, and policies that strengthen our community while respecting our history. Above all, I believe in treating all residents with respect and valuing diverse perspectives.
I humbly ask for your vote and pledge to listen, seek solutions, and work tirelessly for a better Morrisville. Together, we can build a stronger future while honoring what makes our town so special.
