The Backbone of Every Election Starts in Your Neighborhood
Democratic Committee People are elected in the May 19 primary
*** mail-in ballots are arriving ***
Democratic Committee People are the heart of grassroots political engagement - volunteers who show up for their neighbors, their community, and their party every single election cycle.
Committee people serve as the most direct link between residents and local Democratic activity, keeping communities informed, engaged, and ready to vote. It's a commitment to neighbors, to community, and to the democratic process itself — and it makes a real difference.
WHAT THEY DO
· Register new voters and help neighbors understand their options, including mail-in ballots
· Canvass neighborhoods so residents know when, where, and how to vote
· Lead Get Out the Vote efforts and support Democratic candidates up and down the ballot
· Volunteer at polling locations on Election Day to support Democratic candidates
The fall election is critical. Strong turnout will be the key to winning — and that requires a strong committee person team in every ward and precinct. The people elected on May 19 are the ground force that makes it happen. Your vote this spring builds the team we need this fall.
